A Public Utility in Central Texas
In early 2023, a public utility in central Texas approached Kimberly Britton, CEO of Britton Strategies, with a comprehensive planning request.
The utility needed to create a strategic plan for levels of service for the entire organization, establish correlating KPIs and SMART goals, allocate remaining FTE positions for the current year and the next two years, and discuss a future state reorganization - all within a four-day executive planning retreat scheduled for the following month.

Britton Strategies produced a strategic plan for levels of service, established KPIs and SMART goals, created an FTE allocation plan for the current and next two years, and facilitated a discussion on future state reorganization. Due to the success of these efforts, the new CEO invited Britton Strategies back in early 2024 to build on the previous year's work. As a result, an update of that work was completed and a new plan for a major near-term reorganization was created. All once again took place during an intensive four days with desired outcomes achieved and execution of resulting initiatives now fully underway. The groundwork has already been laid for the next session slated for late 2024.
